Aie - One Place For All Development

About me - My name is Ashish Ahire and after completing my engineering i start my journey with SAP and since last 3 years i am working as an Netweaver Application Developer.

Eclipse and ABAP in eclipse - Before Aie i like to work on SAP GUI Editor because of its navigation  and yes their is no other choice available  but for working on Android, java/j2ee application i'd to move on eclipse , that time i thought it would be better if all things will come at same place and finally the day come  and on SCN i read about Aie release same day i install Aie plugin in my eclipse luckily my sap system is also compatible with Aie and i started working on Aie that time several features are missing as compare to Jie and debugging is only possible with externally not built in but now 2.24 and it contain many missing things still their is lots of new features and improvement going on.

In Aie Code look clean and clear with many views eg. - call hierarchy , Error log .

In my opinion eclipse is easy and best choice for development because in their education they learn different programming languages most of developer know eclipse and most of them already used to also.

My Favorite Features: I love each and every features of Aie eg. - refactoring , quick fix .

  1. Multiple sessions(same as jie)

  2. Delete Unused Variables(Alt+U)

  3. Aie to SAP Editor Link

I think Feature Explorer and Tour (AiE) is really helpful for beginners because most of developer already familiar with eclipse now its time for Aie - It is an Great Idea to educate people and show possibilities for coding in different IDE.
