My favorite comment when introducing new SAP Mentors is: Wow, I thought they were already mentors. ;-) When I shared the list of new SAP Mentors internally I got that reaction again and I hope you will think the same once or twice when you are going down the list.
I want to stress again that these are not SCN Mentors, but SAP Mentors. We look at it from the larger SAP ecosystem perspective. A good example is
Paulo Roberto Da Silva, he may not have many points on SCN, but rather is active in the business/ASUG side of things and therefore a perfect complement to the current Brazilian SAP Mentor Wolfpack.
You may go down the list and think: "Oh I know who should be an SAP Mentor, next round I am going to nominate her, after all she is amazing in the SAP space and a customer too!", but then life moves on and you forget. To capture these epiphanies we have opened up and hope you fill out the Nomination Form for SAP Mentors Fall 2012 today.
It is one of my greatest honors to announce the new SAP Mentors Spring 2012:

Shengtao doesn't get the recognition he deserves for all the things he is doing for the SCN community in Asia Pacific.. The time zone and language differences makes it really hard for us to give the SAP Mentors in that corner of the world the attention they deserve. With him being an SAP Mentor it will be so much easier to nurture and nudge exceptional SAP experts to become new SAP Mentors. Shengtao being a native will be much better positioned to connect and deeply engage with them. Since I told him the good news he replied that he has already talked to a couple of people to become SAP Mentors in China next time around. Can't wait to get to know and welcome them in half a year.
Bio: Being responsible for SCN in APJ, especially in China.

Raquel Pereira da Cunha
Country: Brazil Company: Independent Consultant
Raquel is giving solid advice around all things Solution Manager. Latest blog: Authorization object S_PROJ_GEN in Quality Gate Management. How dedicated is she to the Solution Manager? Check out her Twitter handle and you get it: @raquelsolman. What also fascinates me is, that even though she is an Independent Consultant, she is apparently so busy, that she doesn't find time to have a dedicated home page for people to reach her. Of course it is totally possible that I am not savvy enough to find it ;-)

Global Bike Inc. the global SAP teaching platform that Simha co-developed is one of the most underrated offerings in the larger SAP ecco-system. Frank is a quiet force within the SAP Community Network especially around security. Always helpful and engaging, but never touting his own horn, even though there is a lot to tout about. Beyond his security expertise he writes a Gadget blog [German only] where you can also find many of his amazing pictures.

He's been fiddling with IT ever since he got his first programmable calculator back in the 70s (yes, he's that old) and has been in the security business professionally since 1991. Through various tasks as consultant and product manager for internet based transaction technologies (banking, brokerage, electronic payment, mobile payment, digital signatures) for companies like Siemens, Brokat and Encorus Technologies he gained a broad understanding of security topics that he now tries to expand into the brave new world that is SAP Netweaver.

He has a diverse background including building and operating a 120 seat restaurant. Once he is an SAP Mentor he promises to further his main message "You're not done after the implementation is live. It is a continuous effort of gaining knowledge about what is possible with standard SAP. And the focus is on "standard" SAP"

The other one that got the prestigious SCN Member fo the month award. No we didn't coordinate that, there is a big editorial barrier between the SCN Member of the month committee and the SAP Mentor selection wolf pack ;-) To be honest, he has been overlooked the last rounds as he is a tireless contributor to the community and a great positive spirit when you meet him in person. Really happy to give him the recognition that he so deserves.
Bio: Tom works as a consultant at CTAC Powerhouse in Belgium, where he is an SAP expert with certifications and expertise on various topics related to SAPNetweaver Technology and SAP Solution Manager. He plays an expert consultant role for many large SAP customers.

Bio: De`normalizer! Learning & contributing my 2¢ via #scn.
Please help me welcome these new SAP Mentors. Many of them will be present at SapphireNow / ASUG Anual conference in Orlando in May.
