Last summer, I conducted The DELPHI Method - an asynchronous, distributed focus group - with a set of SCN experts. At the conclusion, I wrote a blog asking SCN members to help me confirm the validity of that procedure (as it is rarely used in my discipline!). To do this, I am using AllOurIdeas, a project in mathematical sociology from Princeton University and Google Summer of Code.
The SCN question asks "Which is a more relevant indicator of status in the SCN?". Status indicators are presented in randomized pairs; the output is a relative ranking of all the status signals according to the Community's expressed preferences. To date, I have received 450 responses.
