Hello, Bonjour SCNers!

Firstly, thanks to Ingo Hilgefort for blogging me forward and for giving me the opportunity to present myself to the broader SAP community.

A little about my country: Canada

I live in the awesome city of Montreal. Located in the eastern part of the country, the island of Montreal boasts a European flair. This is probably one of the reasons my parents immigrated here from Europe in the 70s. The city is very culturally diverse. The official  languages are French and English, which makes for fun conversations in what we call “FrenGlish,” whereby we switch/mix both languages in the same sentence. We have 4 distinct seasons and 2 extreme temperatures: Cold Winters and Hot Summers. Hot summers are cooled down with a great, cold, and refreshing MolsonCoors Beer!

A fun fact about me: I was born on April 20th and I wanted to become a chef!

My cultural background is a mix of French and Greek, as you might have guessed by the 13 letters in my last name. My early university studies were leading me towards a career in Hotel and Restaurant Management. As a kid, my dream job was to become a world-renowned Chef. Cooking is still a passion that I share with my loved ones. Another fun fact about me is that I won a Rally championship as a co-pilot.As some of you already know, I have recently been appointed SAP Mentor with an area of expertise in the BI front-end tools.

That's me with Andrew Murray from SAP Paris in a big discussion at TechEd 2013

What is my Role at MolsonCoors?

My current employer is MolsonCoors Brewing Company. Yes… BEER  Every guy's dream job!

Here's one of my favourite TV ads for one of our brands, Molson Canadian: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUqsF8vbR_Q

What started as a month-long contract has turned into 4 completely different positions, and, 12 year later, I'm still enjoying working in Business Intelligence for one of the world's top brewers. My role as BI Business Partner is new to the organization. Our main focus is to standardize our BI offerings on a global scale and make sure the business is getting the best value from the BI tools. I am responsible for our Corporate Centre located in Denver, Colorado and our International Division. We have offices around the globe (China, India, Japan, Spain, Caribbean, etc) My goal is to visit each one of our offices. Did I mention I love to travel?

So here's my answers to BIF questions

1) What superpower would you like to have, and why?

If I had a superpower… It would have to be something with time. Like Hiro Nakamura in the series Heroes!

2) If you were a flavor of ice cream, what would you be?

I would say Chocolate as there's so many layers of complexity in the flavour and everybody like it

3) If you were a chef at my restaurant, what would you cook?

I would make you one of my favourite Greek dishes of roasted lamb over lemony potatoes. Super simple but delicious

I would like to blog it forward to my fellow Mentors joyce.butler3 Leonardo De Araujo and my friend james.rapp

A Bientôt!

A.
