Legend of Chinese New Year

injured the people and animals. So every year in that eve, people fled to the mountains to excape from
the harm of 'Year'. But one year, a white-hair old man came to the village and said he can drive away the
monster. People didn't believe him and still went up to the mountain.

The next day, when people came back to the village, they found everything is safe. People realized that
the while-hair old man is an immortal who came to help them expel the monster. When 'Year' was ready
to break into the village like previous years, suddenly heard firecrackers. The 'Year' trembled and cannot

The Chinese New Year in my memory

When I was a little child, the Chinese New Year is the festival I like most. Because I could have
new cloth
and lots of candies. In the evening, I will light my little lantern, set off firecrackers with
my friends, walk through our neighborhood and pay New Year's call. We will also get pocket
money as a gift.

Wish everyone a happy Chinese New Year !
Warm greetings and best wishes for good luck in the new year!
