The SCN Gamification Team organizes the SCN Topic Leader contest every year to highlight the most active experts in certain topics in our community. The contest period closed on March 31, 2016, and since then our team has been calculating and vetting the top contenders in each space to bring you the list of winners this year.

You can read oddss's blog, SCN Topic Leader Contest Changes for 2015/2016 where she describes the reasoning behind this year's shorter contest period. And if you want to find out more about the 2015-2016 contest and its rules, read sajid.amir2's Topic Leader 2015-2016 Updates.

To be considered as a Topic Leader on SCN, a member has to be one of the top three members in a topic space in terms of points earned in that space during the contest period (August 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016). Like last year, we implemented a point threshold as one of the criteria to be considered. This year, the threshold is 320 points. Similar to previous years, we implemented this threshold to identify active and meaningful areas of expertise, and certain areas such as Getting Started with SCN or Events are not included.

Recognition Earned

As recognition of their expertise, Topic Leaders will receive an Acknowledgement of Achievement via email (here we kindly ask you to be patient as it may take some time to prepare and send all certificates). On top of that, the member will earn a valued Topic Leader '16 badge to display on their profile.

If you are a Topic Leader this year, and you will be coming to SAP TechEd 2016 in Las Vegas, Barcelona, or Bangalore, we would like to hear about it, as we plan to give you the opportunity to meet other valuable members from the SAP ecosystem such as the SAP Mentors. (Please note that as with past years, we are unable to give our Topic Leaders a free pass to these events.)

Credit

We would like to recognize the hard work that goes into preparing this list. Bunchball and SAP IT was resourceful as always in providing us the initial data. oddss and sajid.amir2 were instrumental throughout the process and we appreciate the unwavering support and guidance of gali.klingschneider. We are also very thankful to the SCN Moderators and Space Editors who were vital in reviewing and finalizing this list. And of course, we could not have achieved any of this without the firm support of other SAP employees and their support of our community.

And now, please join me in congratulating the our 2015-2016 SCN Topic Leaders!
