The SAP HANA Cloud Platform is a market leading Platform-as-a-Service (Paas) offering and the core foundation for partner innovation of cloud solutions. The SAP HANA Cloud Platform is appealing to all Java developers which would like to build new or port existing Java-based applications to SAP HANA Cloud Platform. In addition, however, the Hana Cloud Platform is a great platform to develop native HANA applications with the ability to take advantage of exposed predictive analytics capabilities as well as additional platform application services like for example portal, mobile, collaboration, integration, etc.
While SAP HANA Cloud Platform enables the development of new stand-alone cloud solutions, it also offers the capability to extend existing customers’ on-premise solutions (hybrid scenario) as well building extensions for SAP Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions like SuccessFactors or SAP Cloud for Customer.
Traditional Cloud ISVs benefit from the opportunity to promote their SAP HANA Cloud Platform based solutions to the entire SAP installed customer base. SAP value-added resellers (VAR) and system integrators can leverage the SAP HANA Cloud Platform to offer value added solutions to their customers. As part of the SAP PartnerEdge program for Application Development, we also provide partners with the ability to embed the SAP HANA Cloud Platform licenses into their cloud solution. With this approach, partners act as a cloud service provider with the ability to market the solution with a fully enabled cloud service under their brand to customers.
