Welcome to ACT!
For many of you, December is the end of the fiscal year. Depending on your organization, you may have managed to keep a close eye on costs and your execution towards your goals for the year. We refer to this action of goal tracking as Monitoring and see dashboards as key pieces of BI technology for that purpose.
Having worked as the Product Manager of SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards (aka Xcelsius) for many years, I know the term “dashboard” conjures up a multitude of different approaches and solutions but for most, the motivation to implement them is driven by a need to monitor how the business is performing and get that information to everyone who can positively (or negatively) affect achieving those targets.
In this issue of ACT, we have focused on bringing together articles around the concept of dashboards and as always, information that will continue to support your analytics cultural transformation initiatives.
