May is a busy month for us here at SAP. At our annual conference, SAPPHIRE NOW, we pull out all the stops to guarantee an amazing experience for our customers. This year was no exception. In this month’s issue we have brought together the highlights for BI at the event. Whether you were not able to make the trip to Orlando this year, or were too busy to see and absorb everything, we have the inside scoop and recap from the event.
As the release of BI 4.1 was a major event at SAPPHIRE we are going to build on that topic next issue as we provide key articles on 4.1 and upgrading.

SAPPHIRE NOW 2013 is officially over. Did you enjoy the live country music of 3 Grammy winners, Bonnie Raitt, Martina McBride, and Alan Jackson? SAP Lumira Marks a New Chapter for Enterprise Self-service BI Solutions
On May 10, SAP announced the availability of SAP Lumira, the next step in the company's self-service business intelligence (BI) vision. Formerly known as SAP Visual Intelligence software, SAP Lumira extends beyond the desktop to the cloud and enables users to visualize any amount of data in real time in a repeatable, self-service way, accelerate decision-making with fact-based answers to business questions and increase self-service data usage without adding to the IT workload

Centigon Solutions used their expertise in mobile web apps, HTML5, and their new Indoor Mapping technology to take the first step to change how attendees experience SAPPHIRE NOW. They built PrizeFinder to help attendees present in Orlando locate the prizes in the partner area.
