SAP Lumira, Fiori, HANA, BI, Mobile Secure, SMP, Portal, and Gateway are on the agenda as Business Information Technology (BIT) Info-Days tours ecosystem partners the length and breadth of India with one basic message – innovate together.

Hyderabad marks stage five of BIT INDIA Info-Days where ten SAP product managers deliver workshops and seminars onsite at the offices of their ecosystem partners. The info-days team shows partners how to replicate the timeless software archetype and build their own extensions on the HANA platform using SAP’s latest UI, portal, analytics, mobile, and visualization tools. Although the roadshow schedule itself is pretty taxing – a little more than two weeks for multiple meetings covering Bangalore -> Pune -> Mumbai (by road) -> Calcutta -> Hyderabad -> Bangalore – it's absolutely unforgettable. And the partners – Cognizant, Deloitte, HCL, Mindtree, L&T InfoTech, NTT Data, Infosys, TCS, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, and Accenture – are keen to engage.
The partners create and deploy an app during each info-day.
There are two tracks or streams involved at each date on the BIT INDIA Info-Days tour. Track 1 is a workshop in which SAP experts teach partner developers and architects to create Lumira visualizations and build a mobile app using SAPUI5 using the Fiori paradigm. The partners then deploy the mobile app securely using SAP Mobile Secure (intellectual property for the app remains with the partner). While that workshop takes place, Track 2 runs in parallel. Here’s where SAP BIT product managers explain how partners can make best use of Lumira, Fiori, HANA, BI, Mobile Secure, SMP, and Gateway to help their own customers. At least one product manager is available to dive deep into the technology with partners and find how to take full advantage of the tools to address critical customer scenarios.

Each info-day lays a foundation. Once the India tour is done, partners will apply their recently-acquired skills. Each partner will nominate at least one real customer scenario as a candidate for a collaborative solution using the SAP BIT tools outlined above. SAP BIT then plans dedicated meetings at SAPPHIRE NOW with those partners to finally ratify the customer use cases and kick-start corresponding joint development projects.
The comparative cool air heights of Hyderabad host the penultimate leg of the tour involving tomorrow’s info-day at Tech Mahindra. And the SAP BIT mantra – ’Innovate Together’ – resounds across India.
