Continuing our meet the ASUG Annual Conference speaker series, I am pleased to introduce Gina Newton of Kellogg.  At ASUG Annual Conference she is presenting Future of CRM Planning and Reporting at Kellogg - Rapid Migration to an Accelerated-TPM (SAP NetWeav... Thursday, June 5, 2:30 pm.

Please tell us about yourself

I am currently a Senior Manager in IT supporting Kellogg’s global sales function. I began my career working for Keebler in the HR department as a Compensation and HRIS Analyst. In this role I became a subject matter expert with the HR and Org Module of SAP. In 2000 Kellogg acquired Keebler opening the door to more opportunities. I played key roles in several IT initiatives, including a global roll out of the HR and Org Management solution to approximately 17 countries.

About 12 years after supporting the HR function I accepted a position to support the Trade Management solution (CRM). I have spent the last 4 years managing complex Trade Promotion Management SAP Projects, most recently implementing Accelerated TPM on HANA. The favorite part of my job is collaborating with my business partners on technical designs and seeing the solutions come to life.  My project work has allowed me to build great relationships with many Kellogg employees and consultants.

Q: What are some of your hobbies?

Even though I have lived in Chicago my entire life, I love warm weather. The only reason I am in Chicago is my big Italian family! When it’s warm, I love to be outside and active. Kellogg has allowed me to travel the world which really opened by eyes to other cultures, therefore I love to spend my free time traveling to new places. Other hobbies include photography, yoga, taking bar method classes and spending quality time with my husband, family and friends.

Q: Tell us about your ASUG Annual Conference session and what you hope attendees obtain from it

I am excited to speak this year with Arvind Bhaskar from TekLink. I will share Kellogg’s journey with the TPM SAP solution and why we choose to implement A-TPM on HANA. Attendees will learn how we organized the project, what successes/challenges we experienced and key technical take-aways. It’s great to be able to share experiences with other people in your industry.
