I am pleased to introduce ASUG Annual Conference speaker justin.molenaur2.  Justin is presenting BI1904 – “Integrating SAP ECC and SAP CRM for Unfilled Task Reporting in SAP HANA

The abstract reads as follows: Cardinal Health is improving customer service on real-time unfilled tasks with an SAP HANA platform-based solution. This deployed solution ensures that customers have the best options available when an order line is unfilled. The presentation will cover Cardinal's development methodology for SAP HANA, user adoption, and cost/benefit analysis.  Some key learning points are as follows:

  • Determining the candidates for a real-time SAP HANA solution: faster, better, easier & never done before
  • Pushing users past the comfort zone to achieve extraordinary results
  • Breaking larger project into smaller pieces with multiple production deployments: Iterative project management approach

Justin answers the following questions below (he is pictured to the right):

Q: What is your position in your place of work?

A: I am an independent consultant assisting Cardinal Health with various solutions implemented using SAP HANA. I am also an active member of the SAP HANA Distinguished Engineers, which is a group focused on the adoption, implementation and education of all things HANA. You can find our SCN homepage with some excellent content at http://scn.sap.com/community/distinguished-engineers .

Q: What is the title of your session and when is it?

A: BI1904 – “Integrating SAP ECC and SAP CRM for Unfilled Task Reporting in SAP HANA” Wednesday May 6th from 12:30 to 1:30.

Q: What gave you the inspiration and drive to present this topic in this way?

After a very successful implementation of this project, we had presented this at a few local ASUG conferences and audiences seemed to really enjoy the story. Thus this was a natural fit for a larger group of people who are interested in HANA from  both a delivery methodology and execution level perspective.

Q: Why should people come to your session?

A: People should come to this session if they are interested in well balanced overview of a successful HANA project. There are both technical and methodology related topics that would be relevant to a wide range of team members.

Q: What is the one thing you hope attendees will take away from your session?

A: HANA really can be a disruptive technology and enables a speed to delivery that many traditional tool sets do not. In this presentation we describe how delivering smaller pieces of functionality very fast and building over time can have a larger impact that delivering once over a longer span of time.
