Effective today, the 2.0 enterprise edition of SAP NetWeaver® Landscape Virtualization Management (SAP NetWeaver LVM) software is available. The latest release focuses on improved usability and enhanced functionality in several key areas, including the system clone/copy/refresh framework, improvements to the landscape visualization view for more intuitive and easier to use and user-defined dashboards. The new version also includes an updated terminology used throughout the user interface and documentation to better align with existing user and SAP vocabulary.

The enhancements and new features for extensibility and flexibility introduced in the 2.0 release of SAP NetWeaver LVM will help more customers be able to reduce the amount of time and effort spent maintaining their SAP applications,” said markus.winter, chief product owner, Virtualization and Cloud Products, SAP AG. “In addition, the improved user interfaces make the solution even more intuitive and easier to use. This release expands the already strong SAP momentum behind the product.”

The 2.0 release of SAP NetWeaver LVM offers a solution for common application life-cycle management tasks such as system copy/refresh, capacity management and reliably starting and stopping systems for maintenance activities. Additional infrastructure support from a wide selection of partner solutions and adaptors is also available. Customers can refer to a summary available on SCN for a list of supported storage and virtualization technologies, links to partner pages and information on specific solutions.

SAP NetWeaver LVM 2.0 offers improved flexibility and customizability through custom cloning, custom validations and custom notifications features, allowing businesses to customize or extend the built-in functionality to better suit the needs of their particular environments. Users who previously could not adopt the solution because of unsupported infrastructure or a mismatch between the predefined workflows and their application life-cycle management processes can now leverage the improved flexibility of the current release to realize the benefits of the powerful solution.
