This may be hard to believe, but it is possible to take the boring out of policy training. In the conclusion to this three-part series, I’m sharing an ANCILE success story involving ethics training and SAP® Communication Center by ANCILE.

Goal: Make policy training engaging and reporting easy

ANCILE’s human resources team was recently charged with delivering Conduct and Business Ethics policy training to our 150+ employees worldwide. Beyond delivering the training, the mandate was to track and report results to our senior executives, as well.

The first hurdle to overcome was to remove the automatic turn-off that such training typically presents. We knew the training had to be streamlined, easy to access, and engaging.

The team developed video, graphics, and external content resources and packaged these into a series of small learning nuggets that could be consumed quickly and efficiently. Then, these nuggets were hosted and delivered in the cloud via SAP Communication Center. So, employees received critical ethics guidance wrapped within visually engaging content. The campaign included assessment checks to confirm comprehension.

For compliance purposes, it was essential that the HR team track, file, and report on the delivery of the Ethics Code to employees. SAP Communication Center reports displayed completion numbers and pass/fail percentages.

The majority of knowledge checks were completed by the end of week one. For those checks not completed during first week, it was easy to use reporting data to follow up with those who lagged behind.

Post-launch, there was an abundance of positive feedback across the company. Compliance was 100%, with an average response time of 7 days, and an average passing score of 97%.

Whether it’s change management, sales enablement, or operational compliance – communications is key. Not every one of your communications has to be validated. But, when you need to know they know, you want to select a communications method that delivers that ‘got it’ in response.
