Hi there,

I am excited to announce that Analysis Office 2.0 is now generally available after a successful ramp-up phase.

Analysis Office 2.0 is a milestone for the future convergence and simplification of BI and analytics clients in Microsoft Office.
It already offers the framework that will enable to converge EPM Add-In in the next release (2.1).

In addition to this architectural achievement, Analysis Office 2.0 offers useful features like Table Design that brings more flexibility in designing and layouting the crosstab.

You can add new lines (with defined row height) to structure the layout and assign custom styles to specific cells or whole lines.

In addition, you will find the enhanced side panel for changing several properties in one go, e.g. if you want to change all dimensions to show "no totals" BEFORE you start analysing the data.

Analysis Office now connects to HANA via http - this requires HANA SP9. You don't have to configure an ODBC driver anymore on the client PC. And - you get more features, e.g. SSO.

There are some other new features like saving query views to NetWeaver or smart copy&paste also across Excel workbooks (or PowerPoint presentations), e.g. if you want to copy a data source from one workbook to another one.

Check it out.

Thanks,

Alex
