Resolve SAP BO - Live Office Timeout Issue

Hi,

Live Office is one of the connectivity techniques for SAP Dashboards(Xcelsius) with your data.Many times when we use a large number of Live Office Connections in our Dashboard then refreshing all the objects in it give us Time Out error.This can be resolved.

Versions of Software Used:

SAP BO Dashboards 4.0 - Version 6.0.5.0 , Build - 14,0,6,1036

SAP Live Office XI 4.0 - Version 14.0.4.738, Build - 738

Prerequisites:

1. Administrator access or appropriate permissions to access the Registry.

2. Perform this operation on the system where SAP Dashboards has been installed and from where user will preview or export the Dashboard.

Steps to resolve the issue:

Enter to Registry Editor by typing regedit in run prompt.

Follow the below path :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP BusinessObjects\Suite XI 4.0\Live Office\ENTERPRISE

Once you reach the desired path , check for dword named: DefaultTimeOut .

If its there then edit its value else create a new dword name DefaultTimeOut.

Create new dword by right click>> New>>Dword Value

Edit the Decimal value with the number of seconds you want for eg. below value is 3000 secs means 50 Mins.

Click ok and close the window.

Close your Dashboard and restart and try the Refresh All Objects now .
