Just yesterday a new blog was published on blog.sap.com.

This blog tells about SAP BusinessObjects Design Studio on top of SAP HANA and SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse 7.3 on SAP HANA . We worked on this from oktober until december and after the end of the proof of concept it was decided to continue with Design Studio.

At the moment of the POC we were still working with the 1.1 version and our challenge was to show that we could build a working version of some of the most complex dashboards they had developed with SAP Dashboard.

They have an interesting concept where everything it masterdata driving which means that you can control a lot of functionality within the dashboards without actually doing anything in the dashboards themselves. Masterdata control extends up to attributes of KPI's telling which numbers should be shown, which graphs, if a table should be shown and if there is a drill down report where you should be able to go to.

At the moment a lot of new projects are emerging where we design and build new dashboards with design studio.
