In 2010 when I started my career just after certification, I still remember how I used to remember all the configurations of various processes in SAP SD module. Scoring a good percentage, and passing the certification exam with flying colors, I felt I have conquered the world. Back then, explaining concepts using various scenarios came naturally to me.

Today, after  almost 6 years, I was amazed to see that when my colleague preparing for certification exam casually asked me those questions again which seemed so simple back then how much I struggled to recall the answers. I casually joked with my colleague that this transformation is just because of the ageing process. However, it seems that whatever is Out of IMG is like Out of Mind.

Most of us might have experienced this feeling. We start our career as technical or functional consultant and with experience we start to grow as managers we get accustomed of doing same kind of things everyday and get out of touch of certain basic things and become comfortable with the work we are doing especially in case your profession is directed towards managerial side.

Well the next Goal is PMP but i still want to be in touch with IMG . I don't want to provoke any debate over manger vs subject matter expert but i have a different point of view when it comes to bosses who run the show without knowing SAP environment. I have seen those embarrassing situation when a junior colleague seeks your guidance over some  requirement and you are kidding around and swiftly get away with the situation because you are not  able to recall the answer or directing them to subject matter experts.

These situations will not hurt your reputation as a manager  but this will definitely dent your reputation as a leader.

I know that it is an infrequent skill combo but that should be the ultimate ability set (SME of any SAP module + PMP).

Now the question is how to gain this steadiness, how to grow as a leader and still stay deep rooted with the basics and the answer is online refresher courses. I have been taking these courses from Udemy , Open SAP , SAP learning HUB and they have been priceless.

And essentially the most comforting factor with udemy is this that the entire courses comes with 30 Day a refund warranty. I really appreciate  this policy as i've requested for refund at no. of times.

There are bad courses also on udemy i have burned my hands couple of times but after burning my own hands i have found some pearls from there.

Most of us begins our profession from SD, FI, ABAP background therefore i have jotted the list of best ones with their  hyperlink. You can search these courses straight on Udemy also.
