Asset Master Data is a living, breathing, thing.  Keeping asset master up-to-date is a daunting task. With activities like planned and unplanned maintenance resulting in 1,000's of asset changes annually things can get out of hand easily. Some  Fortune 500 firms in asset intensive industries typically occur 2000+ asset modifications a month requiring asset master data changes which can impact EHS performance along with maintenance and operations processes.

This can have quite an impact, ARC Strategies in 2010 estimated that in the chemical industry that  1.5 % of revenue is typically lost from poor asset management information. Better asset information will have a positive impact on your operations.

On July 16 2015 at 12 PM CDT the SAP Business Partner Utopia will be presenting a webinar on Asset Data Life Cycle Management: Critical Operational Data for Efficient Operations in Today's Economic Climate.

Although some of the focus is on the Oil & Gas Industry, the Chemical Industry can learn from any asset intensive industry. The webinar  will cover leading practices to capture and/or correct critical operational data as well as how to sustain the data with appropriate level of governance on the processes (e.g. Shutdowns/Turnarounds, Capital Projects, Management of Change, etc.)

The webinar will  look at ways to qualify the consistency and application of your data standards including ways to understand the business impacts of your current state of data. The session will explore the steps involved in improving the efficiencies of your processes so your data remains accurate and complete and your operations/procurement costs can stabilize.

The result - many points of operational efficiency and reduced cost that far outperform the current status quo

The presenters are:

Allen Kessler, the director of delivery at Utopia who specializes in SAP Plant Maintenance and enterprise asset management. Allen has over 30 years of experience in the field as a journeyman instrumentation technologist and is considered to be a leader on SAP CMMS data management, planning, and inventory management. His history is very rich in the operations and maintenance space both on and offshore and he has worked for greats like Shell Canada and Spectra Energy

and

Jonathan Budd, the director of sales for North America East and Canada
