SAP Supply Chain Management 7.0 Enhancement Package 04 Generally Available

As of January 25th 2016 SAP Supply Chain Management 7.0 Enhancement Package 04 (EhP4) became Generally Available.


This EhP4 release uses latest NetWeaver version NW 7.50 and will have the following product Versions including the first release of APO PPDS co-deployed on Suite-on-HANA:

EhP4 FOR SAP SCM 7.0 

  • Availability of standard integrations tested with S/4 HANA
  • Consolidation of all quarterly shipments
  • Positive performance impacts for both HANA and Non-HANA DataBases
  • Operational reporting for Service Parts Planning using SAP HANA Live.

EhP4 FOR SAP SNC 7.0

  • Availability of standard integrations tested with S/4 HANA
  • Return Purchase Order Collaboration enhanced with new Quick View and  PO worklist
  • Standard packing functionality now  included in File Upload/Download
  • Attachments directly in SNC for multiple document types   
  • Retrofit of usability add-on 1.0 and Fiori apps enabled by new Netweaver 7.50 Gateway.

EhP4 for APO 7.0 on ERP 6.0 EhP8

  • Deployment option of APO on ERP continuing ensuring lower TCO for the customers
  • Consolidation of all quarterly shipments
  • Positive performance impacts for both HANA and Non-HANA DataBases

SCM PPDS 1.0 ON ERP 6.0 EhP8

  • Master Data harmonization with synchronous update for source of supply without queues
  • CIF Simplification through queue elimination and one click integration
  • Fiori-based Planner Launchpad for Material Flow and Capacity
  • One harmonised MRP (for ERP and PPDS) and Simplified navigation options

SAP SCM APO remains a valuable solution for SAP customers with over 2000 benefiting from continued support in line with SAP’s standard Business Suite policy, currently confirmed  until at least the end of 2025.

Many customers are continuing to roll out APO and are deploying APO on HANA. Benchmarks have shown up to 40% performance improvements in the end to end planning process by deploying APO on HANA,  BSH reduced their PPDS run time by half and explain the benefits in this  video.

In addition SAP has integrated APO with new solutions such as SAP Integrated Business Planning to add further value to existing APO customers.

SCM PPDS 1.0 on ERP 6.0 EhP8 is major step towards our commitment for enhancing advanced manufacturing planning. This decreases the TCO, simplifies adoption and lays the foundation for a new S/4 HANA PPDS planned for Q4 2016 release.
