The latest release of the SAP Store has just been unveiled following CEBIT, and there is a lot to be excited about! SAP continues to expand our cloud offerings, with the recent acquisition of SuccessFactors, the rollout of SAP Sales OnDemand, introduction of SAP Travel OnDemand mobile apps, and reaching the milestone in December of more than 1,000 customers running our cloud suite, the SAP Business ByDesign solution. And the SAP Store is helping fuel this growth to make SAP the #1 cloud software provider in the world.

With this recent release of the SAP Store, we have doubled the number of solutions for SAP Business ByDesign to over 120 – all available for our customers to discover, evaluate, and buy to help them run better. The SAP Store includes key forms and reports for your analytic and reporting needs, mashups to popular apps like Google Maps integration, mobile applications so you can view your app for SAP Business ByDesign on your iPhone or Android, and additional extensions and microvertical applications to serve your specific business needs whether you run a professional services organization or operate a sports venue. Here are a few highlights of some exciting new apps and functionality you’ll find on the SAP Store:

    • SnapEngage: A customer chat application built on the Google App Engine that integrates with customer-facing Web fronts – like your Web site or company Facebook page – and your enterprise systems such as SAP Business ByDesign. This solution enables sales or customer service agents to engage with customers and prospects through live chat sessions directly from Facebook or your company’s Web sites, pulling context-rich information from SAP Business ByDesign during the session for your agents, and then feeding the chat session record back into SAP Business ByDesign at the close of the session to capture leads or information for support requests.

    • Additional users for SAP Business ByDesign: The SAP Store now gives existing SAP Business ByDesign customers the ability to quickly add users to their landscape as their business needs grow. This is a simple, effective way to self-service enterprise needs immediately by adding SAP Business ByDesign users to your cloud profile without any offline administrative processes.

    • Multi-Project Cockpit by IBIS: This solution is a must for professional services organizations. It provides a graphic depiction of N number of projects in bar graph form with deadlines, monitoring functionality for critical resources, and an overview of workloads by tasks, and gives you an assessment of key milestones with drill-down capabilities.

We’ve also added a new area for SAP Sales OnDemand, giving customers the ability to download SAP Sales OnDemand for the iPad and also purchase additional users for the application. Stay tuned for more features later this year some of which you will see firsthand at SAPPHIRE NOW Orlando 2012.

The new SAP Store also has enhanced functionality to improve the enterprise buying experience. For example, we’ve added the ability to view new recommendations from customers who have similar business needs as you. And when you find your solution of choice, the store will check that your selected app is compatible with your landscape. Once confirmed, you can buy and deploy the solution immediately to your tenant within minutes – all from the comfort of your office, whether that’s in an office building, your home, or your car!  Come visit us wherever you are at https://store.sap.com/public.

The beauty of the cloud . . . may we live in interesting times!
