I’ve always been a believer in the saying, “success is when preparation meets opportunity.”  Well, by any measure, the annual CGT Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards ranking would qualify as yet another great success for SAP.  According to executives from more than 150 consumer products companies surveyed by CGT Magazine, SAP dominates once again - and perhaps more than ever - among technology providers to the Consumer Products industry. 

As in past years, editors of CGT Magazine surveyed CP executives on their opinion across eight technology categories including supply chain planning, supply chain execution, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, trade promotion management, new product development, business intelligence and mobility, which is a new category in this most recent survey. 

So how did SAP fare? 

  • #1 in Supply Chain Planning
  • #1 in Supply Chain Execution
  • #1 in Enterprise Resource Planning
  • #1 in Customer Relationship Management
  • #1 in Trade Promotion Management
  • #1 in New Product Development & Introduction
  • #1 in Business Intelligence
  • #3 in Mobility

In addition, SAP was also listed as a “Breakout Award Winner” in two categories:

  • #1 TPM provider to the SMB market
  • #1 Business Intelligence provider to the SMB market

In supply chain planning, supply chain execution and enterprise resource planning, SAP has been ranked as the #1 provider for many consecutive years.  In other categories such as customer relationship management and new product development and introduction, SAP has emerged as the leading provider in recent years and, this year, for the first time ever SAP is the #1 vendor in Trade Promotion Management.  All of which certainly qualifies as another outstanding showing for SAP!
