CRM Merge Process custom enhancement scope

Hi,

Here I am trying to explain the scope of enhancements in standard accounts merge process in CRM.

There are many document which explain you about how CRM merge process works or how to configure it. However, I didnt find anything related explaination if there is a scope or place where we can do some enhancement around it.

In my current project I have came across where there was a requirement where I need to merge some data from some custom tables for the account merge process along with the standard account merge process in the same cycle and in the same manner how standard does in system.

And I am happy to inform you all that I have achieved it with full success with some enhancements like action configurations, program and badi implementation.

In this blog I will only share you all this short experience of mine about  "CRM Merge Process custom enhancement scope". However, in my connected document for this blog I will expain in detail how we can achieve this enhacement in actual system.
