In his document on Installing the Smart data streaming plugin for HANA Studio, Jeff Wootton listed a set of configuration steps that includes setting the default Streaming server URL in the SAP HANA Studio preferences. The Default Server URL is used by the SAP HANA Streaming Development perspective to determine which Streaming server to use when compiling a smart data streaming project. This blog post provides a bit more detail on how to set the Default Server URL. Note that a pre-requisite to setting the Default Server URL is to have defined at least one Streaming Server connection in the SAP HANA Streaming Run-Test perspective as shown in the blog post Adding a Streaming Server Connection in the SAP HANA Streaming Run-Test Perspective.
Within HANA Studio, you need to open the "Window" drop down menu on the top menu bar and choose "Preferences".
In the Preferences dialogue window you need to choose "SAP HANA smart data streaming" in the navigation panel on the left side of the window.
You can then click the "Change ..." button next to the "Default Server URL" field to browse the available Streaming Server connections to choose from.
After selecting the desired Streaming Server connection for the Default Server URL and returning to the Preferences dialogue window you can click OK to save the change and exit out of the Preferences dialogue.
