I recently wrote and published, on an AEC related business Blog, a white paper named "Construction Lifecycle Management – a necessary business strategy" focused on adopting new thinking and business practices to achieve Lean in Industrialized Construction.
I would like to submit it to this forum for debating openly about the necessity to adopt a holistic approach to Construction and instead of "reinventing the wheel", adopt the same principles that made Lean a reality in Manufacturing.
Though in a nutshell, Construction Lifecycle Management is simply PLM for Construction, I believe this forum is more appropriate compared to the PLM one; mostly because it's concerned mainly with the AEC/EPC ecosystem.
The debate is clear, which vendors would be best suited to provide most value to Industrialized Construction, either ERP or PLM ones? Or maybe both...
