I attended an ASUG webcast titled "Easy Navigation Tips to Help You Get Started with SAP EHP's (SAP EHP 6 Preview)" given by Lois Dick, Senior Director - Upgrades Office at SAP.  There was a lot of really good information that I had not heard about before so I thought I would share what I learned in this blog.

If you are starting to think about (or have already started) implementing a SAP EhP, these are some good links to check out:

Business Function Prediction http://service.sap.com/bfp

This FREE tool will show what functionality within the EhP is relevant to your business.  It uses data from your system (at least 1 month of usage data in /nST03N is needed) to provide a results report.  This report will show a tailored list of the new business functions which will enhance transactions your end users are currently using.

Solution Browser Tool http://service.sap.com/solutionbrowser

This tool identifies delta functionality that will be available after an upgrade or EhP implementation.

SAP Accelerated Innovation Enablement http://service.sap.com/aie

This service provides free remote assistance to help you evaluate the new functionality available in the EhP's.  Live demo's of the new functionality are also included.

SAP Roadmap Sessions http://service.sap.com/roadmap

From this website, you can review SAP's Roadmaps for Solutions as well as Products for insight on what is being planned for the future.

For EhP information specific for ERP, there is the EHP Info Center http://service.sap.com/erp-ehp

From here, you have access to information such as relative presentations, ramp-up information and detailed information for specific EhP's.

For other core applications within the SAP Business Suite 7 there are the following links:

CRM - http://service.sap.com/crm-ehp

SRM - http://service.sap.com/srm-ehp

SCM - http://service.sap.com/scm-ehp

Also, if you are planning on activating new business functions in an EhP, check out OSS Note 1524246 for possible license implications.  As implementing new functionality in a production environment may require an additional license package such as an enterprise extension or an industry portfolio package license.  This OSS note includes a pdf file for the Licensing Guide where it describes the new/improved functions per LoB (Line of Business) and whether or not they require a package license.

I hope you find this information useful.
