The Activity Data Collector is thoroughly introduced in How to use the Activity Data Collector , among other resources. This blog introduces the Activity Data Collector Editor for EP 702.

The editor is avaliable from 702 SP8.

Instead of configuring the ADC via service configuration, it can now be done using a user friendly UI which significantly reduces user errors.

The ADC editor can be accessed by navigating to:

System Administration -> Monitoring -> Portal -> Data Collection Configuration

The editor has two panes.

Configuration Pane:

This pane shows the basic configuration properties and validates the user's input once the user presses the Save button.

Collector Files Pane:

This pane shows the data types that appear in each file. When the user chooses a file from the Collector Files table on the left, the data types that appear in the file can be seen in the table on the right. Data types can be added using the "Add Data Type" button and removed using the "Remove" button. If possible, data types can be edited using the "Edit" button. The "Define Separator" button allows the user to add a custom separator. The required separator for each data type can be selected from the drop down list at the final column.
