If you’re seeking some inspiration for your performance management project, then the #SAPEPM2013 conference keynotes could be just the ticket.

Our day 1 keynote will be delivered by SAP's own Christian Rodatus (Twitter @crodatus), Senior VP, SAP Analytics, who will talk about how companies have turned their finance teams into value-adding business partners supporting analysis and better decision making. He will discuss how newer technologies such as in-memory computing, enterprise mobility, and the cloud can transform performance management processes with real-time access to the most granular data even for managers on the move, and how shorter planning and close cycles can improve agility and cost savings that fall straight to the bottom line.

As if by design, the day 2 keynote continues the theme of transforming performance management, with a focus on “Beyond budgeting to next generation management”. Two guest speakers, Bjarte Bogsnes (@bbogsnes), Vice President of Performance Management Development, Statoil, and Steve Player (@MrForecast), North America Program Director, Beyond Budgeting Round Table will jointly present this keynote session and talk about eliminating the annual budgeting process in favour of beyond budgeting principles, sharing some best practice advice and real-life experiences. They’ll challenge some preconceptions and excite you with an alternative approach to managing budgets.

Containing topical subjects of Big Data, Mobile and Cloud, as well as a view on alternative performance management approaches, the keynote sessions at the SAP EPM Conference will be highly engaging and stimulating, and hopefully a source of inspiration for the potential that EPM has to offer.

Learn more about the two keynote sessions as well as the full conference schedule at the SAP EPM Conference website or take a look at my last post. And, with just three weeks to go until the event starts on November 5th, don’t delay - register now.
