Our on-premise HCM customers tell me they are very happy with their current solutions, but they continue to hear urgency in messaging about digital transformation and cloud services. HR executives wonder what it means for their businesses and where they can turn to for answers. I am pleased to announce the launch of a hands-on education program specifically developed to educate people who are not yet using SAP SuccessFactors cloud-based solutions. Debuting at SAPPHIRE NOW next week, the full-day workshop, SuccessFactors 101, was developed in collaboration with America's SAP Users’ Group (ASUG) as a way to educate the next generation of workers – whether they are current workers who will need to learn new technology or future workers who will be entering the workforce.
SuccessFactors 101 is our answer to customers expressing a need to better understand digital and cloud solutions. By providing hands-on experiences and opportunities to talk with other executives in the classroom space, we are starting to help customers both experience new technologies and find answers that work for their unique business environments.
I encourage you to attend the inaugural class being held at the ASUG pre-conference on May 16. It provides learning opportunities for business leaders, IT and HR professionals – as well as a forum for collaborating with each other and with experts – on closing the skills gap currently confronting every workplace.

The SAP Education Network for Digital Transformation is an initiative to connect with and prepare executives and professionals to lead their organizations through digital transformation, in collaboration with academia and partners. Leaders and professionals will acquire skills to identify opportunities in the digital economy to improve customer experiences, prepare their workforces and optimize supply chains with data to help predict the future and proactively adjust to changing conditions. The network houses courses not only offered by SAP but also has relevant content and events from universities, such as dedicated executive education programs and innovation workshops. Offerings span classroom events to the cloud-based SAP Learning Hub, SAP’s free massive open online course (MOOC) program openSAP and openSAP Thought Leaders courses. “Leadership in Digital Transformation” is an openSAP Thought Leaders course that shows how business leaders and IT professionals can learn that digital transformation is about changing the way a company creates value, interacts with customers and business partners, and competes in established and emerging markets.
The SAP Education Network for Digital Transformation works with learning materials from SAP, partners and SAP University Alliances, which also enriches learning experiences for network participants through digital transformation information days at universities, incubator trips to innovation hubs in Silicon Valley, innovation days at SAP locations together with academia, and a digital transformation alumni network which enables executives and professionals to share and collaborate on insights and best practices to accelerate their digital transformation journeys.
