Database was always a bottleneck for MRP performance, since a lot of data must be read and write on each MRP run.

As of SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0, version for SAP HANA, it is possible to optimize the MRP performance using SAP HANA.

The optimized MRP and Stock-/Requirement List can be activated with the switch LOG_PPH_MDPSX_READ (see note 1768031 for more details).

Corrections for issues related to MRP on HANA can be found on collective notes, for each support package. The following notes are already available for SP00 and SP01:

Therefore, keep your system updated with these corrections to avoid known issue.
