June 12 2015, SAP-Experts arrived at the countryside Germany - Bavaria - Lower Franconia - Grafenrheinfeld.

They asked their self if they really will find an SAP-Partner or if it's a late planned April-joke.

Just houses (3500 residents) and the big power-plant...

Ok, I'm just kidding around. Yes, FIS GmbH is located at the countryside. I think this is the smallest town a Codejam take place.

Our "Hausaufgabenhilfe" * (according to christian.braukmller4) jasmin.gruschke, Tobias and Christian arrived at 11:30 and we had lunch together to prepare for the event.

All the equipment was tested the day before, so we hadn't to prepare a lot of things.

Most of the people arrived round about 1o'clock pm, but we waited for some delayed people and started the show at half past one.

Jasmin introduced the experts, explained the event and the topic.

(You find the slides attached to the blog).

Main-Topics:

ABAP DEVELOPMENT TOOLS

CORE DATA SERVICES (CDS)

OPEN SQL

ABAP MANAGED DATABASE PROCEDURE (AMDP)

SAP GATEWAY ODATA SERVICE

SAP FIORI

Afterwards we all started to read through the exercises. Some of us might took the chance to talk more than to code...you never suggest the name(s)

But let us have a look at some pictures.

At 4 o'clock the pizza arrived, but before starting the food-fights Gabi [marketing and "photo-fanatic" ] took the group-picture(s) outside.

Now the most important picture of the day:

Five Sort of Pizzas were delivered:

- Special

- Mary

- Hawaii

- Regina (Something similiar to Salami)

- Verdure (Vegan)

The official part of the event ended at 6 o'clock and the attendees started the way home.

A warm "Thank you" to all people which are doing a great job that make events like this one come true.

The house-keeping, marketing, the superintendent, our two secretaries, the good soul which is responsible for drinks (coffee included) and of course the people at SAP, craig.cmehil2 and helena.losada. I could name a lot more, but hey... I think you know who I have in my mind and I just add this picture for you all:

Some of us talked a while longer and some of those let the day pass while sitting at a beer-garden.

I hope you all attend next year again. We plan some new cool stuff at our countryside to enable more people to attend a SAP-Codejam.

Take the chance and be part of one!

Cheers

Florian
