This CodeJam takes place at the recently opened Design Thinking Center.
What are you gonna learn about SAP HANA XSA?
First you'll get an short presentation about the capabilities of SAP HANA XS Advanced and the new architecture and capabilities which were introduced with SAP HANA SPS11. After this you're gonna connect with the HANA system and start with the brand new SAP WebIDE for SAP HANA. This is the preferred tool to develop SAP HANA XS Advanced applications and is based on Eclispe Che.
After this you're gonna build your - probably first - XSA appliation "Hello World", which includes you to create a HTML5 module via existing wizards. Now you can try other exercises that will be provided by SAP. These are about for example database artifact development, SXJS and XSODATA services, SAPUI5 user interface or Node.JS development.
Background: what is the SAP DemoJam?
SAP CodeJam is a 5 to 6 hours hands-on coding and networking event where attendees share their knowledge and collaboratively develop with SAP technologies, platforms and tools in a fun and casual environment. The events are developer community focused and supported by SAP, exploring technologies available through the SAP Developer Center.

Who can join the SAP CodeJam?
Anyone who's interested in and wants to learn developing with SAP HANA XS Advanced. Be aware that basic knowledge about SAP development is expected.
Don’t know much about SAP HANA XSA (node.js)? Not to worry, we will be sending out an email checklist with links to help you prepare for the event.
What do you need to bring?
To attend this SAP CodeJam, we ask you to bring three simple things:
- Your own laptop
- Desire to learn about SAP HANA XSA & more
- If needed, little preparation so that all participants know the basics of SAP HANA XSA
