What an awesome first day. It's 3:20am and after many hours of Design Thinking and a few hours of coding we still have 80 people trying to implement their Design Thinking prototype.

It all started today morning at 8am when the first participant, Guru Prasad Karanam from MIIT, entered the cafeteria in building 2 of the SAP Labs in Bangalore. He was followed by many others and when we've started with the event we've had more than 130 participants in the room, a record for an InnoJam in Bangalore. This event also set another record: the InnoJam with the highest number of female participants: 20.

For the Design Thinking exercise the participants where split into 16 different teams and were given 4 different challenges around the theme of "Urban Governance". All of them presented a cool Design Thinking prototype after approx. 7 hours of going through all the different phases of this methodology.

After the presentations the coding phase started. Our technology experts provided help around technologies like SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver Cloud, SAP NetWeaver Gateway, SAPUI5 and mobile technologies.

The video below gives you a good overview about the event and the amazing energy that people brought to this event.

While writing this blog I got a lot of technical questions around SAPUI5 and meanwhile the sun is rising again here in Bangalore and it's 6:30am. We still have more than 60 people here at the event who didn't sleep at all. With 8 hours left I see that a lot of progress has been made by the teams and am really looking forward to the presentations at 3pm today on Sunday.

More to come soon.
