If you did not make it to Orlando this year to experience SAPPHIRE NOW, I hope you still had a chance to follow us online. If not, please check it out as you can still go there and see the recordings. The presentations and panel discussions from all of the theaters are available there.

For those who were not in Orlando, there were several sessions that we were not able to broadcast live, so I have tried to capture a feel for those parts of the event to give you a feeling for what was happening outside the main theaters on the show floor.

New this year were the demo theaters. These were mini-theaters with three rows of seats and plenty of standing room around. Demos were scheduled every 30 minutes and this new format proved to be extremely popular with the attendees.

In previous years we have had a discussion format called microforums, with seating for 12. This year we doubled that to seating for 24, with additional standing room (frequently used) around the new, circular format. We also added a marker-enabled background for the hosts when explaining their topic.

Also new this year was a kind of hub-and-spoke format to show the many applications already available on SAP HANA.

In common with previous years we also had the popular areas for smaller groups to congregate: the demo stations and discussion tables.

Finally, there were also some test-drive areas where you could just try out the software yourself, especially on mobile devices.

Come back next year to experience it live if you can! Meanwhile, here’s a video summary of this year's event.
