In celebrating its 40th anniversary SAP also launched the Startup Focus Program in March of 2012 to help big-data, predictive, and real-time analytics startups develop new applications on its new cutting edge database platfrom SAP HANA. The overall goal of the program is to provide startups with the technology, support, resources, and community needed to port their applications to HANA and go-to-market in just six to eight weeks at no cost.
In November 2012 over 25 startups were invited to attend SAPPHIRENOW Madrid and over 50 startup demos were showcased to attendees.
This year, more than 30 startups will be in attendance showcasing their innovative solutions on the SAP HANA platform across 22 industries and 9 lines of businesses.
You can engage with these startups and learn about their solutions by visiting the SAP Startupdemo and discussion area in the Database and Technology campus in Orlando. In addition, you can attend demo theater and micro-forum session where our startups will be presenting along with their customers.

In addition, SAP Startups will be participating in the "SAP HANA Startup Challenge" where members of the Startup Focus program will have an opportunity to showcase their solution/s before a large number of SAP customers and share their Big Data vision with senior leadership from SAP. The winners will be announced at SAPPHIRENOW.
