Last week at SAPPHIRE NOW 2015 conference, May 5 – 7, 2015 in Orlando, Florida, the main message was digital transformation with SAP’s next generation business suite, SAP S/4HANA. On the first day of the conference, Simo Said, Vice-President SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori Product Marketing, took the stage to moderate the Run Simple with Our Next-Generation Business Suite, SAP S/4HANA panel theatre presentation.  Using feedback received after the launch event in February 2015, Simo guided SAP Executives markusschwarz and wieland.schreiner and SAP customers Bobby Joseph, Bristow Group, and Peter Nikoletatos, La Trobe University through the top questions about how to drive digital transformation and create new business and IT value with SAP S/4HANA.

3 Screens, Tablets and Smart watches  - The Boardroom Redefined Showcase

This showcase was by far the most visited area of the show floor. This showcase offered event attendees a contextualized boardroom experiences that connects people, places and devices into a real-time enterprise experience. Powered by SAP S/4HANA, it understands the past, predicts the future, and drives execution. This next generation solution empowers leaders to monitor, simulate and drive change in a digital economy.  The Boardroom Redefined experience included 3 large touch screen monitors with integration to iPad and iWatch for a fully digital experience. To capture this showcase on video, michael.emerson participated in an interview and outlined how this project was initiated and  the plans to bring a solution to market this year.

During the event, SAP announced SAP S/4HANA, Cloud Edition, giving customers the opportunity to deploy real hybrid scenarios — combining on-premise and cloud solutions — for unprecedented IT flexibility and accelerated business innovation. To understand the impact of this announcement, I interviewed sven.denecken/profile  Sven explained how SAP S/4HANA cloud edition provides standardization and fast innovation cycles for customers to adopt business suite applications by line of business and industry in their preferred ways. In fact, he mentioned that the SAP innovation cycle for this solution will be on a quarterly basis.
