We have announced the release of SAP Fiori, cloud edition at TechEd Barcelona 2015 and since then, what a ride! Since the release we ran a very successful controlled availability phase, we announced GA, added the HCP OData Provisioning to the solution, introduced SAP Fiori mobile service as a complementary offering to enhance the consumption of SAP Fiori on mobile devices, added additional Fiori apps on the cloud (and I am sure I forgot few things in between).

The journey is not complete with this release. We are working intensively in the lab on additional enhancements that will be revealed, most likely at SAP TechEd later this year.

One of the key evidence for me for the success of the product, is the openness of our customers to talk about their experience with the product. It is great to see that Rockwell Automation agreed to present their experience with the product at sapphirenow. This is a must have session to attend - Tuesday, 2PM, room S33B.

The solution is not complete without having our ecosystem providing content and specializing in the product. Below you can read what two colleagues of mine have to say about this new offering:

gareth.ryan2 , Enterprise Architect, AgilityWorks Ltd (UK) and SAP Mentor – “SAP Fiori, Cloud Edition helps us to simplify our customers’ infrastructure in the cloud, while still allowing for easy integration with their on premise back-office systems.  As an App Development Partner, this model frees us to focus on developing great new SAP Fiori apps as part of our broader UX-led services, which help us to re-imagine the entirety of a client’s business.  Removing many of the infrastructure limitations accelerates our time to deliver, enabling us and our customers to concentrate on what matters most – the user experience”

“As an SAP technology partner, we dedicate an incredible amount of resources to both innovating on new products that solve complex problems for our customers, and on distributing and supporting our customers across the globe. SAP HANA Cloud Platform now helps make both of those tasks incredibly simple. Developing applications collaboratively with a distributed workforce is now easier than ever with SAP WEB IDE, Git, and an amazing set of test tools. For software distribution, we can now simply have customers subscribe to our applications with a SaaS model on HCP and instantly our customers get access to our software, and also to our new enhancements as we roll those out every other week. This is really a game-changer for enterprise software developers" says gavin.quinn, Founder & Chief Architect, Mindset.
