SAP Freeway

Traffic is something that often gives us nightmares in India. Life-saving vehicles like ambulances are deeply affected by it. With minimal traffic automation and limited road lanes, ambulances struggle a lot to drive past the congested signals. But, when we are dealing with life, every second counts and delays due to traffic can prove fatal for patients.

SAP FREEWAY addresses the above problem by creating a free route for the ambulance by providing efficient traffic signal preemption by leveraging the usage of GPS and sensors. It also provides information about the nearest hospitals and the best optimized route to reach them. SAP Freeway also provides a mechanism for traffic management staff to accurately track the ambulance and guide it to its destination in the quickest possible time. SAP Freeway runs on SAP powered by Sybase SUP.

Reuse Code Using SAP HANA – Cut the System Landscape Boundaries Safely

SAP delivers standard enterprise products. In addition, we also develop several custom solutions for our customers. Tailor-made solution code is normally developed in a customer landscape and the IP rights are still owned by the development organization, SAP. However, we are not able to leverage the knowledge base and the code snippets for further reuse in newer projects since they are not available in the SAP landscape. Any unstructured storage in the form of XML or doc files does not yield benefits and it is also unsafe to do so. To solve this problem, we, from the Custom Dev team have come up with a safe and innovative solution that uses the power of SAP HANA to centrally store, retrieve, search, and reuse code by which we gain enormous efficiency gains and also reduce the redundant effort in projects. A developer with the right system access can now intelligently search/browse through different code samples across projects and make his best delivery by reusing code from an SAP HANA central storage.
