Last night (Monday 21st October) at TechEd in Las Vegas I attended the launch of Mobile Apps 4 Charity and it was a cool start to a marvellous idea from expertIG and SAP. SAP Developers it is your chance to 'pay it forward'.
Basically you can get involved at 3 levels. The first is Evangelist, spreading the word about the project & causes. The second is Support, as there projects will need folks to make sure all runs well, with respect to the projects and the development. Lastly Core Team, you the developer donating your time and skills to fulfil the needs of the two causes.
The two initial causes for the project are

If you do not know the technology needed such as SMP, SAP are helping by giving you knowledge transfer via the SAP Mobile Academy http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-36054 and access to the developer software via developers.sap.com
