Hay Bouten is a trainer with SAP Education in the Netherlands, teaching SAP solutions such as SAP NetWeaver SAP Solution Manager, SAP Mobility, and in recent years a whole lot of SAP HANA. In this video recorded on the show floor at SAP TechEd Amsterdam, he shares his thoughts on the changing nature of SAP technologies and how this in turn has changed the nature of the event itself. 10 years ago, for example, Hay recalls the big buzz at SAP TechEd was all about SAP NetWeaver whereas now, it's all about SAP HANA.
Hay also attended a Sybase session during the event, prompting this instructor of SAP Mobility solutions to state: “Sybase is really ready for the big time.” Then there was a session about HANA integration with SAP Solution Manager, which he says is a topic his students are always asking him about. Now that Hay has seen it in real life during SAP TechEd, he can use this information in his classes and pass along the knowledge to customers and partners.
