We all like to stay connected. Having information on the tips of our fingers is something which we have got so used to that we cannot imagine a world without it. Taking a step further, our globe has now been opened up to new possibilities in which every object in this earth can talk to the other. We are already envisioning a place in which our medicine cabinet would ask our chemist to drop off the cough medicine we finished yesterday.
Internet of Things, or IoT essentially involves several components coming together to communicate with each other. Bundling up all such components in the ecosystem and bringing them all together is what SAP has been up to. SAP Co-Innovation Lab Network (COIL), which facilitates co-innovation with the SAP
partner ecosystem through a network of labs across the globe, has come up with few brilliant IoT based solutions. Ranging from automotive use cases in which a fleet of vehicles could be monitored for its health remotely, to public sector solutions like Flood real time monitoring. Having set its foot firmly in IoT, SAP COIL is looking forward to more such exciting projects in 2015.
