The 21st of October, 2015 is known to many as the date that Marty McFly and Doc go into the future to save Marty’s future family; but more importantly, it is also the date of the 4th annual Las Vegas SAP TechEd Networking Session’s Jam Band.

It’s a bit of fun during the Networking Reception (Wednesday, October 21 • 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Show Floor, Hall C, Level 2 - Jam starts at 7pm), where all conference attendees (managers, developers, designers, analysts, architects, basis/administration, support staff, sales people, and more) with some Musical Prowess gets the opportunity to join the band and for an hour, we play some internationally well-known, easily learnt songs that people can sing and dance along with.

As usual, we will also be supporting the #GeeksCanDance movement through music to groove to!

Sam Yen and Fiori are sponsoring us again this year for Vegas, and hence the name of the band for Las Vegas this year is:

SAP Fiori Jam Band

Sam Yen Inviting you to SAP TechEd

How you can take part?

The easiest way to take part is simply show up during the Networking Reception!  If you know the tune and want to join in singing or playing some percussion, come on up.

If you like to dance, Dance!

Watching and hanging out while having a few drinks is perfectly fine too – it is the Networking Reception after all!

But if that is not enough for you and you want to pick up a guitar, bass, keyboard, play your trumpet, beat the drums or even lead the band in a song; then hit this link to find out how you can join in and help choose the music.

Edit (28/9): Note - Please just use the Google Link to send through song updates/preferences as the Document Collaboration feature in SCN requires approval for every update so is not really useful.

What about Barcelona?

Shortly, another page will be put up for Barcelona and this post will be updated with the link to that once available.  Feel free to watch this page for updates.

Kudos for Starting an Annual Event…

This will be our 4th year of Jamming at SAP TechEd (USA and Europe), so I want to send a shout out to david.hull3 , mark.finnern3, all the assisting SAP Mentors and those who jumped in to help that first year; to take David’s idea of an inclusive Jam event and making it a success (and not to forget fun!).  Rock On!
