The openSAP course, Build Your Own SAP Fiori App in the Cloud, attracted over 25,000 learners in 2015. The course helped learners to design and build their very own SAP Fiori apps in the cloud with SAP HANA Cloud Platform. The course proved popular amongst learners, with over 1,500 learners building and submitting apps as part of the Design and Build Challenge (See the top submissions here). Today, we’re happy to announce that there’s a newer, bigger, and better version of the course on its way to openSAP: Build Your Own SAP Fiori App in the Cloud – 2016 Edition

.
So, what’s different?

Well just like the weather, everything in cloud computing changes quickly and often. Since the course closed last May, SAP Fiori 2.0 has been introduced along with SAP Splash and Build. SAP Fiori 2.0 centres on the users and the way they work. In addition to classic applications, it also supports unstructured work, offering users a clear structure and easy orientation without compromising on flexibility.
SAP Splash and BUILD enables non-designer project teams to design great software experiences by providing an inspiring gallery of well-designed applications to build upon. Tools such as learning content on UX methodologies and best practices, and an integrated set of design tools to do user research and create prototypes get teams up and running fast. And if that’s not enough, we’ll also be taking a look at SAP Fiori within SAP S/4HANA and how you can use it best.

Who should attend?

Build Your Own SAP Fiori App in the Cloud – 2016 Edition is suitable for both learners that completed the previous course and newcomers to SAP Fiori. Along with new content, the challenge has also changed and is divided into two challenges: the Design Challenge and the Develop Challenge. After you’ve learned about design guidelines, tools, and best practices, you will submit your app design and mock-up for peer review. You’ll then move on to learn about bringing your design to life as an app in the cloud and will have a chance to incorporate any feedback you received from the Design Challenge peer review. You will then submit your app for peer review as part of the Develop Challenge. This time, winners of the Develop Challenge will win themselves an Apple iPad Pro!

Build Your Own SAP Fiori App in the Cloud – 2016 Edition is now open for enrollment. The course begins February 24 and runs over a 10 week period. Sign up for free today and learn to create amazing, personalized experiences for your users!
