A few months ago, SAP Press reached out to the SAP Screen Personas team and asked if we would write an e-book on our product. They were launching a new book format called “E-Bites” which presents information on a specific task in a shorter, paper-free design. Since we are always looking for innovative ways to deliver content to our customers, we signed up.

The book focuses on how to simplify SAP transactions using SAP Screen Personas. While the information on how to streamline business processes and make users more productive applies to any line of business, we use several plant maintenance or enterprise asset management transactions for our examples. The transactions in the book include:

  • List Purchase Order, transaction ME2W
  • Create Service Notification, transaction IW51
  • Display Purchase Order, transaction ME23N
  • Display Cost Center, transaction KS03

We provide specific instructions on how to edit screens, merge tabs, write scripts, and deploy the new screens into your environment.

Here is the table of contents from the book:

The authors are all product experts, contributing their knowledge from different vantage points.

peter.spielvogel is senior director of product marketing on the SAP Imagineering team. He currently leads the go-to-market activities for SAP Screen Personas.

tamas.hoznek is a development architect on the SAP Imagineering team, focusing on customer support, project success, issue resolution, and education around SAP Screen Personas.

sylviabarnard is marketing director on the SAP Imagineering team. She focuses on helping European customers improve their productivity with SAP Screen Personas and channel customer feedback into the product.

steve.rumsby is the SAP Technical Manager at the University of Warwick, and the University's primary SAP Screen Personas expert.

tobias.queck is the lead architect on the SAP Screen Personas team. He is the co-inventor of SAP Screen Personas and has been involved with developing the product since its inception.

sebastian.steinhauer is the SAP Screen Personas product owner, and has been working on SAP Screen Personas from the vision to the latest version.

While there is a nominal charge for this E-Bite, we are donating all our author royalties to charity. Our motive for writing this was sharing knowledge, not personal gain.

Thanks to you, our loyal customers, for your interest in SAP Screen Personas. Without you, there would not have been a market for our book.
