Following the Movie Challenge at Announcement of SAP Portal and HANA Cloud Portal Gamification Movie Challenge, I watched the following SAP HANA Cloud Portal Movie on YouTube:

The movie begins with SAP HANA Cloud Portal Document Repository where the movie demonstrates the storing and sharing of files in the Public Folder, by uploading the file(an image file) from the Desktop to the Documents Tab. Additional text showing the need/use of the same should had been displayed, and was missing.

Movie then takes us to Content Tab, where an HTML5 lightweight application is added to SAP HANA Cloud Portal using Add Widget button in right top location. Since its a URL based Widget in our movie's case, URL is provided for the same indicating it has been hosted somewhere over the net.

Moving onto next scene, the movie takes us for Exploring the SAP HANA Cloud Portal Market Place(having number of shared sites), where we Import the site onto our account. This imported site can now be seen at Site Directory Tab in SAP HANA Cloud Portal and ready to be fully customized.

When loaded, the imported site shows its default pre-configured layout, predefined texts, and images and videos.

There are number of options available for customizing the website:

- Page Management Panel - Add, Rearrange and Delete pages. Apply Page Template to pages.

- Content Catalog panel - Adding Widgets to the page and customizing as per our needs (like an HTML5 lightweight widget we added just above)

- Design Settings Panel - Applying new themes to our site

- Publishing Options Panel - Publish the site for public viewing by end users

On a lighter note, the movie is like a typical Bollywood movie, with a cool guitar-melody track playing in background. Movie taking us to some suspense zones like Uploading image (until late in movie we discover its use), some flat/plain/numb areas like adding an HTML5 application to SAP HANA Cloud Portal and some interesting and exciting twist at the end with full-fledged exploring the custom site customizing.

Being worked on Web Technologies on previous job(as a PHP Developer worked on ASP as well; time back story when I was a freshly graduated), I still found the Web and Cloud Technologies pretty consuming and interesting.

The movie is well created( though missing voice narration and bubble texts full of details) and well paced, explaining minute details as it moves on, and at the end covering what is said.

A must watcher for SAP HANA Cloud Portal Enthusiastic. My rating for the movie ? Its a 5-Starer Movie, Do watch and comment on it.
