Hello to everyone,

this short blog should serve as critic for a video called SAP Cloud Portal Overview. You can see the video under this link: SAP HANA Cloud Portal - YouTube

(It is a shame for me, but I did not solve how to add video directly in this site :c( )

I have chosen this introductory video for the simple reason - I have almost no personal experience with both SAP Cloud and Hana Database. So it would be nonsense to dive inside other more technical chapters.

But I work as a SAP Basis Administrator and in our company we are administering SAP systems on our own machines. It means we run systems locally. The database is Oracle. I am not expecting change to cloud, but in my opinion we will change to SAP HANA database in couple of years. That is the reason I am interested in SAP HANA and also very tightly connected SAP Cloud services.

Let's get back to the core of this blog - the critic.

When I started the video very first time I got scared little bit. It was because of very sharp and loud (my volume was on comfortable basic level :c) ) start of the music. But I have to admit that this beginning "noise" made me to fully concentrate. It made me wake up, do you know what I mean?

I liked the used method firstly to show the large picture and then smoothly focus on its parts. And in the end the large picture was shown again to remember it.

In the video was used just the music. I awaited somebody would read short items on the screen for me. But then I realized that again it kept me concentrated on the video and its content. And I have to mention that the speed of changing the items on the screen was exactly fast/slow for me to be able to read it without any problems.

And final think I would like to mention are the active links to another videos in the end. I have never seen the links inside a video, so it surprised me a lot.

The summary is very easy. Movie is short and simple, but the content is valuable and I think it gives what it was made for. I like it.

Thats all, thanks for reading and keep in mind to visit Announcement of SAP Portal and HANA Cloud Portal Gamification Movie Challenge :c)

Kind regards
