How does SAP HANA support transports or LCM?

In SAP HANA, Delivery Unit is the vehicle LCM uses to move development objects from one landscape to another.

Delivery Unit wizard is used to create a group of transportable objects for content delivery.

1. Exporting Model:

     1.1 From the File menu, choose Export.

     1.2 Expand the Information Modeler node.

     1.3 Choose Information Model (Server).

     1.4 Select the Source System from which you want to export the model.

     1.5 Choose the delivery unit from the drop-down list.

     1.6 Choose Finish.

     1.7 The status of export can be viewed in the job log.

   2. Importing Model:

     2.1 From the File menu, choose Import.

     2.2.Expand the Information Modeler node.

     2.3 Choose Information Model (Server).

     2.4 Choose Next.

     2.5 Select the target system where you want to import the model.

     2.6 Choose Next.

     2.7 Select the file from the drop-down list.

     2.8 You can do any of the following :

To overwrite inactive objects in the target system, select the option Overwrite inactive versions

To activate objects in the target system, select the option Activate Objects.

     2.9 Choose Finish.

     The status of import can be viewed in Job log.
