How To - Install and Configure "SAP HANA ANSWERS" in HANA Studio

With the release of SAP HANA SPS 08 - There is an interesting addition of help feature named as "SAP HANA ANSWERS" .

The Configuration steps are simple: Just Install the plugin for your SAP HANA Studio

In SAP HANA Studio:

  • Click on Help->Install New Software

  • Click the "Add" button and complete the wizard > HANA Answer will appear in Uncategorized > Select it > Click Next and Accept the T&C and Finish.
  • When Prompted with Warning message of Unsigned content Click Ok and complete the installation.

Once HANA Studio is restarted > Changes to notice are:

Click on the small black triangle next to "A" symbol and then click Notification to configure.

In "Notification" pane - Login with SCN user ID.

When Pressed "F10" by selecting a key-word" following is the result

Conclusion:

SAP HANA Answers works perfectly - it even narrows down to SAP HANA Academy videos - In the above screen-shot  second link refers to SAP HANA Academy video over LAG function.


PS: I have used the plugins with SAP HANA Studio Revision 70 and Revision 73.
