Today I present to you the SAP folks selected from departments instrumental in driving HANA adoption and mind-share.

Tanja Rueckert

Tanja Rueckert is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of SAP’s Products & Innovation board area. In this role, Tanja leads an organization that spans from SAP’s strategic research, co-innovation, custom development, Internet of Things/Industry 4.0 business development to security, assembly, validation, globalization and market introduction of SAP’s products. Co-innovating with customers and partners as well as developing customer-specific solutions are an important part of Tanja’s responsibility to bring individualized, but scalable business innovation tomarket and fuel the pipeline of SAP’s future standard solutions. An equally critical focus area for Tanja is expanding the market reach of SAP’s current portfolio, by enabling our solutions to operate globally with localized functions and end to end translations. Qualifying and certifying partner products, driving the continuous renewal of SAP’s development culture as well as providing the central development infrastructure complement her organization charter. Tanja reports directly to Bernd Leukert, member of the Executive Board of SAP SE and head of Products & Innovation board area. Tanja works in the SAP Palo Alto, California, office.


Tanja joined SAP in 1997 as part of Field Services where she worked on many different customer implementation projects. From there on Tanja held various leadership roles in quality and program management and also became COO of the HR board area. Prior to her current role she headed up the Quality Governance & Production organization. She holds a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Wuerzburg and the University of Regensburg and spent one year studying abroad at Swansea University, in the UK

Irfan Khan


Irfan Khan is CTO for SAP’s Global Customer Operations (GCO) a twenty five thousand  person strong field organization, he has overall responsibility for SAP’s vision, strategy and technology leadership across the company for all SAP solutions. In partnership with SAP’s product development organization, Irfan works to ensure our technology direction is in line with the needs of our customers and supporting SAP’s leadership and long-term vision for growth.


Prior to his current role, Irfan was the SVP & General manager responsible for driving SAP’s $2B annual revenues Database and Technology business across; Sales, portfolio & GTM strategy and business development, he was  responsible for all database solutions including  SAP HANA, SAP Sybase
databases, EIM, Middleware, Big Data and the Data Science services practice.


Irfan joined SAP through the acquisition of Sybase Inc. where he was Senior Vice President & CTO. While with Sybase, he spent almost two decades in various executive leadership positions across Engineering, Marketing, and Sales. In 2010 Mr. Khan received the Infoworld CTO Top 25 Award and was
named to the International Advisory Board of Cloud Expo. Irfan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science as well as a Master of Science degree in Advanced Computing from Kings College University of London, UK.

Ingrid Van Den Hoogen

Ingrid Van Den Hoogen joined SAP in January 2013 as Senior Vice President. She leads Products and Innovations marketing which includes SAP
HANA, analytics, mobile and other database and enterprise technologies. She successfully co-created SAP’s cloud strategy and launched the HANA Enterprise Cloud and is driving developer adoption of HANA.


Ingrid has over 20 years of technology marketing experience and is a seasoned executive that has led diverse marketing teams including product marketing and management, strategic marketing, branding, advertising, global communications, events, developer programs, the web, online, and integrated go-to-market, multimedia, references, analyst relations, CSR, and social media activities. She has strong leadership skills, creative “big idea” thinking, and a proven track record of delivering results. She is a pioneer and advocate of the use of open source to create grassfire adoption of technology.


Prior to joining SAP she held executive positions at Sun Microsystems, Plantronics and Silver Spring Networks.

Stefan Schoepfel

Stefan Schoepfel, Global Head of Big data and Business Analytics services and  Hub leader of more than 800 Big Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Performance Management and Governance Risk and Compliance consultants located in key markets around the world. He is an accomplished public speaker with General Management, Sales, Services and Marketing experience.


Stefan has led organisations and initiatives focused on new product introduction and innovation management, market and business development, organizational development, restructuring and change management. He has experience in the Financial Services, Airline, Automotive and Pharmaceutical
industries.


Stefan brings close to 20 years of international Management experience in IT and Services. Prior to joining SAP, he worked for a management consulting company. Stefan studied  European Business Administration in Germany, UK and France and holds an MBA equivalent degree from Paderborn University in Germany.


Craig Cmehil

Craig Cmehil is Director Global Developer Relations at SAP. Craig's goal within the SAP is to engage, explore and discover audiences and communities not
traditionally in the SAP ecosystem and yet have many possibilities of using some of the newest technology innovations available from SAP today. To begin
this process he has created a new event series known as the SAP CodeJam event to engage developers and coders in small settings around the world.
