The countdown to SAP TechEd Las Vegas has started and SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) is covered in various sessions and a wide range of topics will be discussed.
Lecture Session - DMM212 - Data Management for SAP Business Suite and SAP S/4HANA
The 2 hour lecture session will focus on the data management solutions for SAP Business Suite and SAP S/4HANA. The session will also focus on the proposed data management strategy and will dig deeper into the different topics part of the strategy. The different topics which will be covered are SAP data aging (including a demo and roadmap) and SAP ILM. We will demo the latest innovations part of SAP ILM. The demos will include Legacy Extraction Workbench (which considerably decreases the resources required for system desommissioning), Accelerated Reporting for Business Users (which enables business users to not only model reports without any code but also to load and unload data from archive files according to their requirements) and Legal Hold Management (where the process of search has been made flexible by making it configuration driven).
The lecture session will be delivered twice - first on October 21st and again on October 22nd.
Code Review Session - DMM700 - Accessing current and historical data in S/4HANA on premise
The 30 minute code review session will focus on code samples which explain the right way to access data in the historical partitions. This would be useful for use cases where customer specific code might have to be changed to handle the access to aged data (assuming that the tables are covered in a data aging object).
The code review session will happen on October 22nd.
